Okay i have decided that my first car is going to be a 1992 Suzuki Cappuccino!
it's a very nice compact fast little car that will do everything i need it to do.
its a right hand drive and very good mileage. im pretty exciited!

I remember racing those in video games. I'd honestly rather have a miata beater to tune. But it wil probably suit your mileage needs. Less then a litre and under 60 killowatts of power.

My Austin Healey is a bit like it but slightly larger. Has a larger 4 cylinder at 1.1 Litres and pumps out only 61 ft pounds of torque. Then again that was normal for a 4 banger "sports car" (remember mustangs and muscle cars are not sports cars) in 1966.

I really have no idea... I've never heard of anyone trying to bring one in to PEI. I will have to look into this now, maybe I want to screw people up by driving on the wrong side of my car.

My Austin Healey which you can get in RHD. Let me go grab an aluminum head and a supercharger+carb. We will put it down on the asphault lol.

car.. get the car :)

I had $5000 in my hand and was very tempted to get a lens or 2. But then i thought, if you dont have a car, you cant go anywhere to take pictures. Cant wait till i get a 3.8L v6 swap and throw a turbo at it, easily a mid 11sec car muahahahaha!

edit: Oh, rain beat me to it. Get the car.

I like to have photography equipment but I like having my car more. Just think... If you get the car maybe you can get some photo gigs and pay for the lens.

Also remember that buying the car is the cheapest part ;)

Gas, Maintenance, Insurance. Over the life of the car it costs alot more then the car ever would. A 600cc Suzuki engine isnt something thats gonna last more then 100,000 miles in my opinion. My 250cc bike has alife expetency of 50,000 miles. Many Honda CBR 600's go up 80 to 90,000 miles many sooner because people ride them hard and dont keep tabs on valve clearences.

ah okay, gas will be good for this car though, i bet insurance will be super expensive, and for maintance, my girlfriends dad can help with that.
I belive that the 1992 Capp, is a 660cc engine, but still shoudl be about the same mileage.

Yep...Rain said it best. I think in the last 6 months of my cars life i have put about 5000.00 into my car. None of it was non-necessary. I do drive a Lincoln which are not cheap cars to buy or maintain. You are planning to get a sports car! Have you looked into insurance? I think you will be looking at over 4000.00/year to insure something like that, being as it is in your first car.

I dunno what they consider it over there it is the classic definition of a sports car but a 47killowatt powered card that weighs around 700kg. The only insurance worry is death. Its super fun but most cars could outrun it.

People say my Motorcycle is too expensive to insure its a crotchrocket OMG... Get real you dumb a** f*** faces. Its a 250cc with 50 hp. Its no faster then a dodge neon srt4. I have 3 accidents, 3 tickets and 5 points. Its 220 a month for full coverage which is expensive for bike insurance, but its 5 times cheaper then my current car insurance lol.

As far as the suzuki goes not sure its not a safe car but its a Kei Car which something like the Original Honda Fit would be. Depending on where you insure it it could be cheap could be expensive and thats if where u live requires insurance.

Here on PEI I could drive a cardboard box and it would be at least $3000 (and I have a perfect driving record). It only goes up from $3000 here. I figured since it is more expensive out there anyway I figured you could add $1000 easy. Just call around before you buy it... Let me know what they quote you, it would be interesting to know.
