I have just sorted my Submissions by year and score and have discovered that I have more 6's from the first half year I was here than any whole year since... Kinda discouraging...

But how do your PLACINGS compare?

Does it matter what type of baloney you use?

thick sliced, with the little red plastic ring around it works best I believe. it keeps it from spreading out too much when it squooshes out as your foot goes into the shoe

And there's nothing better than a balony and toe cheese sandwich at the end of a long day.

To get back on topic, I'm pretty much in the same boat. The way i see it, I'm a 1-trick pony, and when the audience gets tired of the trick I am SOOL. But I still like myself :-)

I think it is Karma. Look at the negative energy you project through your own votes and comments. Vote higher and comment nicer and you shall be rewarded with higher scores.

I must have bologna stuck to my shutter, I've never even had a 6.

Have you ever looked at my average vote cast.
Avg Vote Cast: 6.1150

Nice try but it doesn't work for me.:(

I wasn't commenting on you, but was commenting on the OP. since you have two ribbons and a 7.5 as your best score, I would say that your high vote cast confirms my theory that voting high and positive comments lead to good scores in return.

For me sometimes it is just a matter of getting lazy. Why set up the tripod or try a different setting, just compose and hope for the best. Really stuck in a rut. Then a couple of days ago I decided to learn what all my camera can do, got out the manual and learned a few things. Now I am looking forward to trying some of the functions out, drgging my tripod along and concentrating on getting some good shots. We'll see if there is any improvement!
