Could we get some more options please? I know we now have the option to just not click helpful but if you've read a comment and don't think it is specifically helpful and want to show that you've read that comment there isn't a way to do that. Maybe two more boxes like like the helpful box but saying "read comment" and maybe one specifically for "not helpful" ? I don't know what exactly....

Any thoughts?

I think there are 516,297 threads about this issue, and I totally second them all ;)

Just "helpful" and "read" should do it. If neither are marked, it's unread, if just "read" is marked one can infer that it wasn't helpful.

And yup, there are lotsa threads, but I don't think it hurts to try every now and then when we've never (that I've seen) had an official reason given why/why not. The squeaky wheel gets the grease! :)

Don't even need a read checkbox, that could be automated when the photog actually looks at the page.

I'd like a drop down menu with options like:

Helpful
Unhelpful
You suck
You're hot, so anything you say to me is appreciated

Or maybe a simple 1-5 rating system on the helpfulness of the comment.

Generally, I use the helpful checkbox as a read check, unless the photographer was being rude or inappropriate.

You forgot the box for my comments; "You're old and ugly, so anything you say to me is ignored" ;)

Yeah, I use the checkbox the same way you do.

Yeah, I use it to mean "Comment appreciated", not "Your comment will improve my photography."

Here's the idea I've floated a few times:

Great, then I would have to vote on pictures AND comments

I don't know, but having two negative responses seems, well, very negative to me. Sometimes it's better just not to say anything.

I also wonder if different levels of "Helpful" will turn into a ebay-type situation, where anything short of top praise is seen as negative. Just a thought.

Pretentious
Irrelevant
Acknowledged
Insightful
Instructive

I could handle every comment I get with one of those.
