ANy limitations on the number of files (not related to actual space)

My old host (surpass reseller) i was paying $40 a month, unlimited everything, I setup my own enom account, so I get $9 domains, but they propagate within a few hours, not the usual up to 72 i've dealt with in the past. Bandwith was 150gb, space was 15gb. But since I paid for the reseller software, i can install it anywhere now with lifetime upgrades and support.

Now I grabbed a special that was usually $39 a month, but during limited time dropped to $19 a month, then used a $99 off and free domain and IP promo code for the above bandwith/space, which like i said earlier goes up 2gb of space a week as long as I'm a member, and 32gb of transfer a week. Its something like 12000 email accounts (seperate email domains) and unlimited emails under those accounts. Unlimited subdomains, unlimited parked or mirrored domains, and the small list of one-click installs. So I'm getting alot more for half of what I was paying before, and uptime and support is much better.

Here is a link to their hosting plans. It will tell you what all you get per plan.

Coppermine Photo Gallery is another free web application that you can install and use for image hosting. I don't code, and I'm a web hack, so I can't tell you anything more about integration, but my host recommends Coppermine and almost removed Gallery altogether because they said Coppermine works so much better at the code level. I have an outdated Coppermine Gallery here, and Coppermine is here. Just something else to look at and see if it does what you want or need.

Best,

Rob

Ive seen it, but what they dont tell you is what you dont get. Share dhosting servers allow you all this space and then say you can only have 500,000 files or this or that. Depends on the host but not a single one that does that tells you and if they do limit it they hide the quota meter deep in their menu's.

With Shared hosting some of your files are on one disk drive and some others are on this drive. Typically the server is one of 5,000 rack servers which is attached to a shitload of distributed storage.

I get a kick out of dedicated hosting 300 dollars a month and you are stuck with 200 gb of space. (Or go cheap 99 a month with 80gb) BUT you have full access to the server.

However dreamhosts's cheapest packaged is 349 a month and no root access, which is BS lol, but theit shared shit looks good!

yeah, for dedicated, there's better places out there, but for shared, they are good. Open a support ticket with them and they'll answer you about the files. There support is great, so I'm sure they'd respond relatively quickly.
