Hey guys,
I just joined the dark side after months of reading how important it is for professionals to have their photos searchable on Flickr and all the opportunities it opens up.
I put on several photos about a day ago, and the photos don't turn up when I search for the relevant tags. How long does it take for the photos to become searchable?

Is your account still pending?
From Flickr:
"Why don't all the photos with a specific tag show up?"
"When you sign up for Flickr, your new account is marked as "pending," until Flickr administrators review it to make sure you aren't posting offensive images or junk downloaded from the Web. When your account is pending, your photos won't show up in public photo lists, like Everyone's Photos, or pages that show all photos tagged with a specific tag (see examples)."

Ah, didn't see the pending explanation anywhere!
My tags include 'phi ta khon', festival, 'Dan Sai', Thailand, etc. |

I just checked in the Flickr forum -some accounts that signed up over 30 days ago still are in pending status. I believe you can ask a question of the site administrators by email.
My account took about six weeks to get approval.
