It's an interesting video and the facts are cool. But in answer to the question posed by your subject, no, not until there's qualified scientific proof, regardless of what the probability numbers suggest.
You always have to be careful when someone starts using language like, "Doesn't it seem absurd to think there's no life elsewhere" given the numbers, and so on. Particularly klunky was the leap made in the statement, "Each dot of light is a galaxy, each galaxy has millions of suns, each sun may have planets surrounding it, and each planet has the potential for civilization." That is too much of a leap to take seriously. |

Numbers probability or chaos theory is a rather young but rapidly growing department of science |

the "if I can't see it and you can't prove it - it can't exist" is the most interesting leap of logic |

Still, facts are preferrable to conjecture, regardless of what you're talking about. |

Conjecture is more fun than facts :-)

What we see here as "Life" is just what our limited minds can currently comprehend. To think there is a planet with a "Fotomann_forever" on it. Say it can't be so.
We always depict aliens with appendages, and heads, mouths, eyes.
They could be electricity or some form of energy, they may not need eyes, and aliens could be trmendously larger or smaller then us.
Maybe the more advanced life forms think we're too dumb to bother with, and don't want to contact us, ants.
