If I get another comment stating "AWESOME picture, but I'm lowering your score due to lots of Photoshop work" I'm going to scream. The Future challenge allows all the Photoshop editing we want... Go read the rules, people!!!!

Aaarrrgggghhhh!

OK, I'm better now...

Just because the rules allow it, that doesnt mean people have to like it.

or maybe the photoshop work was too *obvious* .. even though there were no editing rules, doesn't mean i have to like far-out "digital art" .. i dont mind photoshop work, when i cant tell it was done, and when the result looks somewhat like a photo. Afterall, this is a photography site, despite the lack of rules for this perticular challenge :)

A related point...more comments made on my photo this time than in a long while (most positive with indication of high score) but my vote average keeps dropping. I have to think people sometimes look at photos in a shallow sense...not grasping the whole concept...even when its right before their eyes! Alas, I submit what I see and like and they just have to miss out on so much in life by looking at things FLAT!

the scores in this challenge are probably going to be proportioned much differently than a typical challenge. i see a lot of people who either really like it, or really hate it. thus very little mid range scores, but the average of the top and bottom scores will still result in a mid range score.

As in, you'll get 1's or 10's because people will either love it or hate it, but probably not a 5. But your end result will be a 5 because of the 1's and 10's.

Four votes distributed 1,2,9,10 will give the same average score as four votes distributed 5,5,6,6.

You missed the point of my message....
If people don't like it, that's OK. but don't say AWESOME, but low score because of Photoshop editing. It's not because the Photoshop was executed poorly, either. There is no way to tell the image has been Photoshopped based on technical aspects.

Either like it or don't, but don't say you like it and then score it poorly due to editing use!
That was my point...
Thanks for the feedback, thouhg.
