this is for any of you out there that have a little extra time on your hands and would like to check out my latest wedding shoot. i'm new to it, and learning, so any constructive criticism any of you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
none of these are edited, straight jpg conversions from raw files. took the decent ones from over 800 shots. my wide angle, the sigma 18-50 ex dc f/2.8 sucks for group portraits, plus i left my flash at the house, bad day...but turned out decent, was for a friend (the bride) good experience with no pressure. i need the canon 17-40L :( one day maybe :D
anyway, if you have time, look through a few and let me know what you think. i'm eager to know if there's anything i can improve on. the lighting sucked, such low lighting, had to shoot 1600 the whole time.
thanks in advance:

I just got done looking at all of these shots. You did a great job. The Bride and Groom will be very happy. There are some great creative shots in there and some wonderful emotional shots as well. You really seemed to capture the mood of the wedding. This lighting looks just fine. Only thing I noticed are some shadows on the faces in a few of the portraits. But that should be fixable.
My favorite shot (other then all the traditional shots) is the one with the flower girl sleeping over her mothers shoulder. Such a great moment to capture.
I am no expert in this but I really did enjoy looking at these shots. I will be shooting my first wedding this weekend, so it helps to look threw others complete gallerys.
Thank you so much for sharing. |

they are pretty darn good if you ask me :0)
I was hoping that you would get a little creative with the bride & groom shots but they are all very technically sound and the first dance is very sweet! Awesome!!! :0D |

I completely agree. I love the expression that you captured during the first dance.

thank you all so very much, i really do appreciate it. i was very limited where i could go...didn't want to get in the way...it was very odd...the bride and groom faced the audience, and the preacher faced them, w/ his back to the audience...i liked it.
:D
but thanks, great encouragement :D
