Hey Brian, what's this nonsense I hear about you moving to NZ? I heard it's really hard to get Badger games on the tele down there. Everybody is upside down all the time too. Must be a real bummer. |

It is my wifes idea, I have my brother inlaw looking into which TV services I will need to get feeds from Wisconsin. They do exist but I think I will need to sell some toys or one of our kids to afford it. lol
Edit to add. The city we are moving should be a sister city to madison. They do have a personal bond. The guy who owns the Madison Metro also owns the Metro there. Or at least used to. 7 year old info there. The two cities are alot alike, Both Capitals both college towns both very liberal. They have a foot mall just like state street lots of ethnic resturants specialty shops etc. I go there when we visit and it feels like home.

How are we all doing? We are getting close to the 23rd time to start making some concrete plans.
Are we going to attempt a Sunrise or should we just meet at Sunrise instead and hit the trails early?
Any new info on the boat tour?

Concrete plans in a swamp? Is the mob involved??
I'd love to actually do the sunrise. I guess what we could do is make it optional, and weather-permitting. |

I am definitely in for sunrise, just need to know when and where. Smartypants will also likely join us, though probably a bit later in the AM (I'll get her mom to drop her somewhere for me). |

A week from tomorrow people, achtung! Who, where, when, what, how far, how much? Can I shoot that? Anybody got an extra battery? Can I borrow that lens? |
|

06/15/2007 11:02:48 PM · #65 |
NO Battery and You can't borrow my lens. At least not for that canon. lol
they have two Kwik Trips in Horicon We can meet at either and figure out our next step from there. Everything is pretty close by as it is not a very big town. In fact I think the marsh takes up about 70% of the land John Deer takes up another 20 which leaves 10% for bars and gas stations. I am just joking, Not sure how much land the marsh is etc.. Do know that John Deer is mighty big and Horicon is not.
Now. Where are you Ironworker? and the rest of ya? We are down to a small # of people. :-( however at least the boat wont sink if we take a tour.
Not sure if anyone else has heard about this one but here is a article from our local paper. Link to Story sounds like it will someday be like horicon.

I'm not going to be around for this one. I'll be working, 'the schedule' has taken over the job.

O bugger, we've lost our local leader! Hey CJ, can you send me any info you might have, I'll try to fill in as organizer, though I'm going to be a rather poor substitute! |

The weather forecast looks good for Saturday, temps Mid 80's partial cloud cover. Although that sounds ideal keep in mind we will be in a marsh which usually proves to be muggy even on days that are not. So Humidity will probably still be a major bummer.
Fritz will you be looking into the boat tours?
I will see what info I can scrape up this week. I have a busy schedule through Thursday so I can not promise I will be very productive.

Wish I could join you guys, but there's no way I can make the trip. I have loads of work to do and not enough time to do it in. I am going to try to do some star trails this weekend using methods learned from kirbic in Milwaukee. Here's hoping for the best in that venture. Have fun guys, hope to join you next time.
