I was going to list this lens for sale on ebay/craigslist, but as usual, I figured I'd check on here first.

This is the forever-backordered Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S DX VR II (phew! Lots of acronyms!)
It's like brand new. Used maybe 3 times, 2 of which were in studio.
And I'm super careful with all my gear--there are no scratches, dings, dents, nothing on this lens. Still with the original box, pouch, hood, end caps, and all papers, including blank warranty card.
Looking for $800 even ($20 extra if you need it shipped, including insurance and tracking).

If anyone's interested, let me know!
Thanks all!

Good question indeed.

I had one also...I purchased if about a year ago from someone who ordered two b/c they were so hard to get.

I used it for about2-3 months and sold it. Why? Mainly because when I was in a low light situation (dance review, school plays etc) I used the VR along with a sub 1/60 sec shutter. It worked fine except that my subjects almost had "motion blur" which the VR, as you know can't tackle for obvious reasons.

I sold it and purchased an 80-200mm f2.8 Nikon lens. I lost the wide angle but IMO the f2.8 lens without the VR does better inside with no flash, than the VR lenses...(taking motion blur into consideration)

BTW...I purchased the VR for $740 brand new and sold it months later for $850 !

It was a good lens but I didn't use it much for what I purchased it for.

Can't speak for the original poster but I also owned one and sold it last month. It was a great travel lens (used it in both China and Thailand as my only lens of the trip) but my photography style had changed as I went with more primes and only fast zooms. Selling does not mean there is anything wrong with the lens. These lenses are very popular as a do all walk around and travel lens. But there are always compromises when you use a 10x plus lens. If it is what you are looking for then it is well worth the purchase.
