I've an Aunt in San Diego who may want to move into the 21st Century with Digital. She shoots 35 mm p&s now and prints a ton of 4x6 prints. She mainly shoots grand children and other people shots. She's computer savvy but not looking to spend a lot more time sitting in front of one. So ease of use will be primary. It would almost have to be a camera/printer combo that is geared toward making 4x6 prints inexpensively. She really carries her camera everywhere she goes, so I think the smaller size of a digital would be great for her. I know nothing of P&S so I figure somebody in here would have some recommendations. She's not brand conscious so any of the major brands would work. I also think something that could use AA batteries would be best too. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Canon Elph, whatever model suits her. Small, takes great pics, has a little zoom range. Canon Elphy printer.
My dad owns the camera, and I've read good things about the printer.
Or skip the printer and take the card to a local drug store to print. No computer even needed!
This is basically what I'm about to recommend to my mother-in-law, who's in exactly the same position.
I have no doubt there are other options that are just as good, but I doubt there are others that are significantly better for this type of shooter. Sometimes having too many choices is paralyzing instead of freeing.

| My dad is purchasing the Canon S5IS very shortly... everything I've read about it is awesome, but it's midway between P&S and SLR. |
