If I don't get one of these in a couple days for my fathers day/bday, I am going to buy one of my own!

I grabbed one at a local shop for $129. Can get em online for $113, but then shipping and waiting = more so I just grabbed it. The few this morning on ebay started low, then jumped higher than that while bidding, so i just went for new.

It's been so long since I had a fixed lens, I'm not sure what I would do with a 50mm...

I'm not much into landscape, but I want to dabble in everything. Its going to be a great portrait lense until I get something for a little more distance fixed (ie, moola) and I can reverse it for macro. Most everyone lists it as a must have, and it will fill many roles. Its so small it doesn't take up much room anyway lol.

I too got that one from BH a few days back..I had no idea it was so small. But it is sharp and contrast is better than my 18-70...I dont know why I did not have the lens till now.
Have fun!!
