Would something like this do? :)

I can't believe the number of 'kinky' images that come up under a search for saran wrap.

You know, used pizza boxes are an excellent resource for cheese.

Getting a virtual ribbon instantly justifies why we spend thousands of dollars on equipment. :-)

Cheating is bad. It can take away the "meaning" of the whole contest. As far as a "virtual ribbon" goes I say this:

When you place in one of these DP Challenges, it means that you beat out everyone else...hundreds of photographers. So you may say "so what" this is not real...it is only a virtual ribbon.

One day at work I was showing coworkers the winning shot on DPC. I said that "I wish I could win" and that "I try hard to enter good shots". My coworker said...WOW...how much do you win? When I said there is no award, he looked at me like I was crazy. He said I shouldn't waste my time b/c there was no money involved.

However, a few days later, he was telling me his son was on the winning little league baseball team for a playground league. I said WOW...did he win any money? He looked at me, said "no", smiled and walked away !

I think he remembered our photo contest conversation.

Just think how much money some people spend to be ACCEPTED.

Expensive cars, big houses, fancy clothes, yachts, eating at expensive restaurants, boob jobs, penis enlargement, liposuction....

That Virtual Ribbon is worth a LOT OF MONEY in those terms ;)

OK, this is something I really can not grasp... really, this is not a rant.

What is it about a virtual ribbon that makes people so insane?

Why does everyone think everyone else is cheating? Why does everyone accuse everyone else of not voting the "correct" way?

I seriously don't understand it. If it were big money, maybe I could, but an icon? Someone help me wrap my brain around this.

IMHO...anything done with a good heart will eventually end in a good result. So really no one should exist in fear photographically, voting...or otherwise. All roads lead to Rome...but some roads just require more patience.

I think what you really win at the end of long challenge regardless of where you end up in the lineup...is a goodnight sleep.

Just guessing from the number of people posting The Night The Rollover Didn't Happen ... practically no one!
