Only 3 members on Too Lazy To Shoot entered for the 3rd round, so an extra 0 was factored in as a penalty. |
I thought it was possible for an individual to have 2 top scores in a given week. One being Open, one member. It's not? |
 No. |
 That sucks. This changes things.

 From the FAQ:

Team Member Scores - Each week, there are two challenges - member (Sunday) and open (Tuesday), to which all (DPC member) team members can enter either or both. The 4 best scores from the best 4 team members are averaged together to make the Team Score for that week.

All this means is that site members can *ENTER* both the open and the member challenges.. as usual. However, only the best 4 scores from 4 separate team members will count.

However, I do think it needs to be re-worded to make it clearer. |

 How's this sound?
Team Member Scores - Each week, there are two challenges - member (Sunday) and open (Tuesday), to which all (DPC member) team members can enter either or both. So, it is possible for a full team of 7 members to have 14 entries for that week. From these scores, each member will have one best score for the week, and the top 4 scores (from 4 different members) will be averaged for the TEAM'S score for that week. So, for example, if one team member gets a 6.0 in the member challenge, and a 5.8 in the open, ONLY his 6.0 would count. The 4 best scores from the best 4 team members are averaged together to make the Team Score for that week. If only 3 members enter challenges that week, even if they enter both, the team will only have 3 best scores. The average used is based on 4, so that team would have a 0 as their 4th score.

Hey.. don't look at me, I'm not in charge of these things ;)

but I think you're on the right track. All depends on if SC or Langdon decide it needs a change. |

Much better, but I think I got bad info in the forums. I had only looked the FAQ once or twice and there wasn't a Scoring FAQ yet.

A lesson learned then :) The Forums are like wikipedia, take the information with a grain of salt and research it deeper. Go to a *real* source.. (Like the SC).
