This was the technology shot I entered but I went to San Francisco for the weekend and when I got back my photo had been lost and needed to be resubmitted. But alas the challenge was already over. Id really appriciate it if anyone could tell me what they think.

First of all, bad luck on missing the challenge. As for my opinions on your picture:
I think the colours of the sunset are gorgeous. I like the silhouette idea of the fairground rides too. Focus looks nice and crisp. Only problems I have with it is that the fairground rides seem a bit cluttered, I don't think the trees suit the picture and a couple of the lights on the left are distracting. I'd have given it a 6 or 7.

| I agree with Jamie...for this challenge the shot would probably be stronger had you been further to the right, shooting up through the Ferris Wheel and tower. The machinery should be the dominant element, perhaps even obscuring the sunset. Now, if the challenge were sunsets... |

If that was the exact shot you entered, it would have been disqualified anyway. Borders and padding are not allowed by the rules. However, the photo its self is very nice. I love the colors, and the basic concept is great. The 'technology' however is in my mind ignored by the powerful sunset. Still would have gotten a good score from me.

Its a great shot but did you really go to disneyworld two weeks running because your macro entry was also at disneyworld.
I would give it at least 8 maybe 9. |

d00d's profile says he's from Cali so it's possible.
Bad luck on missing out. I really like the photo but for this challenge would have scored it a 6. The technology isn't really the focal point, it's the stunning sunset that catches the eye.
Your light streaks gallery is great - I love that effect, and Buddy is one extremely cute puppy. What breed is he? Looks like a Bull Terrier. |

it is a great picture with lots of interest, but to me does not much represent technology as much as 'tourism', 'festivities', 'carnival atmosphere'.

Yes my macro pic was from Disneyland also. I have an annual pass there so I go all the time. Really gonna miss going there when I move to Michigan in two months. Not too much to take pictures of around here so Disneyland has all kinds of neat things to shoot. My dog Buddy is a six month old chihuahua. Light streak photography is my favorite to shoot but no one really appriciates it except for me.
