I posted a pic earlier of a bird I needed help identifying and I found out it was a Tern (a juvenile royal tern, from what I have been told)

This bird had gotten tangled up in some fishing line and we caught him and got the mess of fishing line off of him...

here are the pics......and a little more of the story

Wow, what a wonderful story and the photos are incredible. And, I have to say that I was doubting the happy ending after you first let him go. Thank you so much for sharing. I think you should share this with your local news because there is so much bad news these days and this is a very warm hearted story.

Great series on the tern James. Interseting. Glad to see no one got bloodied, their bills can pack quite a sharp jab. Van

thanks...actually once the bird was caught he was VERY calm....only tried to take a finger off 1 time, after that it was smooth sailing

what a wonderful story! I loved seeing him fly away apparently no worse for the wear. Thanks for showing this!
