Everybody likes to get comments and I was wondering if you've ever considered adding a comment notifier to the web site, in the form of a little email message that gets kicked out automatically when you get a comment. Or would that add too much overhead/bandwidth issues? |

I have received 1800+ comments in just over 1 year. so that is about 6 per day. seems like allot of emails for the server to send out.
edit to add that my wife has received literally twice as much (not sure what that says about my photography) so it could get very bad for the good photogs.

It could also be a digest format. E.g. One email per day or week with all the comments.

If you go to your profile and click on comments received, all your comments show up with the newest ones first. Seems like overkill to program in something that tell you that you have a new comment. |

Smurfguy has a mod for Firefox that does exactly this. :)
His page is here. |
