I'm completely confused. Any Ideas on what happened?
Pretty Lame Ending IMHO. |

Ah man, at least wait until it's started on the West Coast. |

I don't believe I have given anything away but I put a Spoilers Tag on the thread just to be safe.

My brother seems to think that the sudden gone black is Tony getting whacked by the guy who went to the bathroom. He references Tony & Bobbys' conversation on the boat earlier in the season about when you get whacked you never see it coming. Makes sense but I don't know, I thought it could be that nothing happened and all was in harmony. I am leaning towards my brothers take though. Anyway the series has been weak the last three years and it was time for it to get whacked! Go entourage! |

yep it sucked to me, all that time wasted with the show being on and off for years sometimes between seasons for that horrible finale...

Life goes on.
You can relate to a seemingly normal family dinner get together.
But there are distractions, anyone around you could be waiting to off you.
So goes the persistent tension in the mafia life.
No, Tony didn't get whacked, then.
I think the message is that some day he probably will and his illusion of normalcy is bound to be shattered at the ring of a bell.
In the mean time...
"Dont stop believin
Hold on to the feelin"
Because you never know when it will end.
I think it kinda sucked too. The last couple of seasons as well, but this is what I got out of the finale.

"Six Feet Under" had a THE best finale EVER! Too bad THEIR writers weren't consulted....
I figured we'd at least see a few flashbacks or forwards....
Any way you look at it, the writers must have all been on a break or left the building early, cause that ending bit the big one!! |

I was surprised by the ending, but I still liked it. They showed all the possible threats to Tony at that moment, just like they've spent the last 5 or 6 episodes showing all of the possible mob-related threats to Tony. I like the theory that it was Tony getting whacked from behind. But even if it wasn't, it's clear that it's only a matter of time. Regardless, I'm sure they'll be getting a lot of flak for this ending.
