im making a slideshow dvd with pictures of the progress on my friends 69 skylark. Im using windows movie maker to put it together but im not sure if this is the best idea. I want to burn it to dvd for them but will the picture quality be good? If not should i use a different program? Also, what program should i use for burning the movie file onto a dvd?

What do most of you use to burn photos for clients. I want to burn some so that they can watch it on computer or TV but dont want them to be able to print photos from it. Just a slideshow like mentioned earlier in this thread. I would like to add transitions and credits as well as music.

Read the review and descriptions. You are bound to find something in there.

Photoshop Elements has a slideshow feature and you can burn it to dvd. If you're inclined to try something else then Adobe Premiere Elements is very good and cheap, ~$50-$60 US if there's a rebate.

again, dont have money to spend on this lol. its a free project im doing for him, i dont wanna spend my own money on this. I was hopeing for a free slideshow making program out there that allowed for quality photo's to be shown on DVD. I dont want them to be blurry, there has to be some freeware program out there!

Here is a video that abranton recorded on her camera and I actually edited it, redid the music on it and did everything in windows movie maker. I also had to lighten up the video because it was way too dark.

If you are using Windows, here's another free software to do it:

Microsoft PhotoStory 3.

You can add music and soundtracks to the photos as they are played back. It will even burn the discs for you.

(edited to fix the hyperlink)

We̢۪re sorry, but there is no Microsoft.com Web page that matches your entry. It is possible you typed the address incorrectly, or the page may no longer exist. You may wish to try another entry or choose from the links below, which we hope will help you find what you̢۪re looking for.

I have had a look at some of the above sites and want to trial one but am not sure what I actually need. I need something where I can add photos, add transitions, add credits etc and music. I then want to burn them so they are viewable on both computer and T.V. I dont understand the language so the jargon throws me. Could someone let me know what criteria I am looking for. For example what does a 'stand alone exe file mean?'.

Photoshop Elements may not have all the features you want but Photoshop Premiere Elements does.

I'd check out the trial of all mentioned as they are all approx the same price. Choose the one with the interface that you find works best for you.

Here's the link to Premiere Elements:
