So as a portrait photographer it is VERY difficult for me to make the decision to enter a photo that doesn't have a person in it, but finally one of my nonpeople photos made it to my front page!
If you have a picture that is not your normal style or subject that scored well, please share! |

Nice work. My comfort zone tends to be landscapes and nature, but I was very happy with how this one turned out
BTW, I see that you are currently in Cooperstown. That's a beautiful area this time or year. I hope you get to enjoy it! |

Yeah it is absolutely gorgeous!!! That is another reason why I am stepping out of my portrait box because I have very few people to photograph and looooots of land :) |

Grats :) And just wait till the end of July. The baseball hall of fame is there, and 2 big names are being inducted, so there will be plenty of people around then. I might be swinging up there myself, not sure yet. |

Congrats! I went the other way when I shot my daughter, and got what at the time was my 4th-highest score (now 5th). I never used to take good portraits.

They stand still, they don't ask to see what you just shot, and they don't care if you move the camera 2 inches, reshoot, repeat.
Maybe we could exchange parts of our brains. Noraneko's going to trade me some animal shooting intelligence for some night shooting knowledge. We could do a 3-way! :)

Um, that just sounds wrong to me. I may have to rethink this whole DC GTG thing ===:-o |

haha yeah exactly, architecture stands still, it doesnt change or move or antyhing, so why shoot it when a person could just look at the same thing themself? I know that sounds horrible because there are some AMAZING pictures of buildings out there but I just don't know how to capture them! :) |

What if one does not have a "normal style"? ; - )
My top 5 are a landscape, a "stock" type still life, a flower, a person and an animal.
