We respect a few Californians and tolerate the rest of them. ;-) |
Well, it's nice to know that I'm at least tolerated. :-) |
Unfortunately, Scalvert failed to mention the various levels of tolerance... Yours could fall in the "Barely" category :O)

The goal is to create inner turmoil in those countries. You see, like yourself, you have noticed the dastardly plot. Now you will fixate on it. Posting like a rabid dog to get your answers. Your productivity will go down. If enough of your fellow country men/women follow your course productivity throughout your country will go down, causing your GDP to go down and basically throwing your country into a recession. Next thing you know our elite troupes will swoop in (do to your countries weaken state) and overthrow your government and absorb you all into our collective. The program is called "the Borg Initiative" and has been going on for a few years now. DPC is actually located deep in the bowels of the Pentagon.
Or it's just a programming issue.
Please refer to Ockham's Razor to figure out which one it is... |
I knew it â€Â¦ I knew it. I thought there was something fishy; but with all the seagulls echoing each others kwaks, I just could not tell what.
Thanks for the disclosure.

No, Shannon, you're wrong. It IS bias. We DO hate everyone who's not American. In fact, I hate everyone who's not from my street. Screw all the people from the south part of my county! Everyone who goes to the other neighborhood pool is scum! It's time to take back this country from the weirdos who live two blocks away!
And yes, HighNooner, it IS an elite privilege. One you'll never have access to, sad to say, until you move to my street. Not that we'd let you live here, of course.
Maybe if you somehow found the Illuminati and managed to join them, we could work something out.
Sheesh.
Luv ya, man.

Highnooner--- I have visited the mosaics in Madaba earlier this year..amazing place, in fact I am moving to Amman, Jordan in July...I have met lots of wonderful Jordanians, do yout think you might not like to represent your country in a more positive light?? I know that there are lots of very gernerous of heart people in your country.... |

Sigh... i'm going to go eat fried chicken now...
HighNooner, i'm sure the issue will be looked into. but i think the main thing here is that your comments have made it to the photographer. The other stuff is not as important...
And on The biasing issue. DPC is made up of photographers from around the world, we make every effort to cater to everyone in the English language... the only geographical biasing is to levyj413 and his small community...
also don't take what people say here to seriously, a lot of the time its just sarcasm, with no harm meant...
in short, we are one big loving family,
Also, in order to pay for my Loving Techsupport type attitude, all members who have activly engaged in this post are required to transfer a sum no less than $50 each... PM me if you need the Paypal details...
Peace out.

Why would you even think this at all, let alone bring it up? What on earth has ever led you to believe that any feature of this site would be biased against anyone based on geography?

I thought it was an elite privilege for those who had their icons colored blue and their names in blue letters. :-)
HighNooner,
Just take some advice from a wise guy who said "when someone does something and you don't know if they were out to get you or they just fouled up, assume they fouled up. You'll be right 99.99% of the time".
It may be possible to add changes to DPC without having any errors, but it would be expensive. On the other hand, you seem to be a very successful business leader and may be able to fund this development and testing. How about putting your money where your mouth is?

I can't wait to get there, I will be teaching at the International Community School in Khalda, do you know it?
Wadi Rum and Petra were two of the most amazing places I have been to, absolutely stunning-like another world! Not too keen on Amman tho! I think Amman will be a grower! |

Sure, it is close to my office and to my newly married daughter's house.
I live in Shmaisani. Once you are settled in drop me a note, you are welcome to visit with us over a BAR_B_Q or a feast. And we could chew some on the DPC community later; just kidding. Oh, by the way two of my elder daughters are Americans. They hate me too.
This is one of them.

Remnants, remains, archaeological artifacts, etc. all meaning the same.
rem·nant
n.
1. Something left over; a remainder.
2. A piece of fabric remaining after the rest has been used or sold.
3. A surviving trace or vestige: a remnant of his past glory.
4. A small surviving group of people. Often used in the plural.
I think numbers 1 & 3 fit well and is an appropriate word for the way it was used.
Sorry, I don't compose hastily and am quite literate with the English language.
If you took offense to it, I'm sorry. |
Brad
I will meet you half way and let it ride, and I thank you for your explanation. I just would like to point out that the capital of my country Amman gave its oldest name to “Philadelphia” one of the greatest oldest towns in your county.
Cheers |
I understand the origins of another common North American word can be traced back directly...
Excuse the spelling but the translation is the same I believe...

If you don't mind, HighNooner. You began this thread with a very negative comment you insulted users and assumed that we were all against your geographic location... I gave Honest advice, tried to steer twoard a more civil discussion, and tried to moderate this by keeping insults out...
Many users here have tried to help you, and you have spit back in there faces, forcing them to go on the defensive...
i am resigning from this post. i am no longer taking part...
HighNooner, i suggest you review your attitude. you have pissed off a few DPC Members with your accusations, and, have not apologized for them. some users are now attacking you because of your attacks on us...(DPC users as a collective)
i apologize for the swear that is about to occur, but... you can not expect to make friends and have people support and help you with your issues if your going to be a asshole about them.
And that sir, is the end of that. |
