gee, then i guess using that theory, i could shoot the sunset and look for two waves and enter it in DOUBLE-TAKE.....hmmm then it would also fit into WHY im sure....and after that i could stroll along the beach and without thinking take a CANDID of some unsuspecting sunset! ok NOW i get it! lol! ok, now i feel better...gotta love the rant thread.

yeah I went out and thought conceptually, represented earth on three different levels, set up a shoot with a 4 year old model, smeared mud from here to kingdom-come and got a terrible shot because the light was gone after all the things that go wrong on a four-year-old shoot...

And I should have just shot the stupid sunset that was stealing my light. I'm sure I would have scored better.

Can anyone point me to the "stretching conceptually" challenge web site?

I was very tempted to shoot two ducks for the Double Take - or two flowers. But I decided it wouldn't be funny for all of those that entered the same thing seriously.

Nobody reads these rant things right?

I can see why you went with 11. :P

To the OP, landscapes/seascapes always do well because few voters are offended by them, which is to say it is the opposite of nudes. Also more times than not those have that divinely attributed wow factor to them, which always generates a lot of of high votes. In short it's the safest subject to shoot in the challenges. That is not to say it's the easiest just the safest in terms of subject matter.
