Ok I am sure that this has been discussed before. But is there a diffrence in cheaper cards besides write speed? I went to the store and they had 2 1 gig cards by kodak for 20.00 bucks or say a 2 gig lemarx hi speed for 35. I am strapped for cash so I got the kodak but is there a diffrence as far as picture quality?????

No to the picture quality, an SD card is an SD card. They are all built to comply with SD standards so they will be compatible with everything SD. But some may have better build and be more reliable than the cheap ones.

Build quality is an issue, but picture quality isn't.

I bought a cheap "rocketfish" card from Best Buy here in Canada.. it's their new in-house brand of cards/cables/accessories.

Well, it literally *disintegrated* when I picked it up a couple of weeks ago, being only 5 months old.

Cheapest freaking thing I've ever seen. I have a Lexar 1gb card I've had for 2 years now that is still going strong.
