WHY - My first vote was an 8 with a comment. I was SO excited. I'm still pretty happy with the score.

By the way, my double take is at about the same (at 5.1), but I might get a "no comments" award for it if it keeps up as is for a few more days.

Best of luck to everyone!

I thought I'd enter a double pluss goofy pwl as I haven't actually had anything on the left side for a couple of weeks. It's running at an unsurprising 4 point not very many and oh, yeah, someone who doesn't think the sc has enough to do has demanded validation.

Sheesh, dont' brag about getting "no comments" here or someone will go through and comment on everyone's picture.

That was certainly not my intent . . . *wanders away, whistling and trying not to look at anyone*

Actually if you happen to pass through a challenge without comments you will be awarded a "special" sucker.

I think you may win for most validation requests...

Feel free to post on your profile page if you've survived a challenge with no comments. The gif was created for me by Ken (Art), who's been very absent of late, and I miss his witty banter. :-(

Go on that score, Susan!

Thanks Deb, LOL! Or should I say...LOLlipop? :-)

Not gonna happen in double take; I just got a comment (not from a TSer).

Funny world, aye?

Thanks anyway, Deb; maybe my "why" shot will continue to unimpress :)

Help!

I uploaded a file for dpc prints and it says
18 x 24 Glossy Print (33 DPI)
18 x 24 Matte Print (33 DPI)
30 x 40 Glossy Print (20 DPI)
30 x 40 Matte Print (20 DPI)

But the SAME file in photoshop says
width 800
height 600
resolution 300 pixels/inch

Anyone have a simple answer that my mentally-blocked brain can understand? I know there's the tutorial but I have not been successful with understanding that so far.
Thanks.

800 pixels at 300 pixels per inch is 2.666 inches
600 pixels at 300 pixels per inch is 2 inches

ANything larger than that will reduce the pixels/inch

Oooh. I don't have everything perfect in my head but this is a HUGE step for me actually understanding this.
Thank you.

I'm no expert here but my understanding of this is...300 pixels/inch is just that 300 per inch so your original at 300 dpi would measure 2 2/3 inchs by 2 inchs so at 800 divided by 24 equal 33dpi and 800 divided by 40 equal 20 dpi, you only have 800 x 600 pixels the larger the print size the smaller the dpi...to go 18 x 24 you would need a file that is 5400 x 7200 pixels to equal 300 dpi, Make sense ???

edit to add...Opps too late!!! LOL

I bet he could make some much nicer Team Suck ribbons than what I cobbled together. If only the forum code could be extended to allow a caption under a thumbnail (like on the front page results)..

notice that 30 X 20 = 600

and 40 X 20 = 800

this is NOT a coincidence.

(just trying to show it to you from a different angle. sometimes that helps with this math stuff)
