This is *so* not like me! But I could get used to it :-)

ETA: I guess using Advanced editing in a Basic challenge could do that, huh? Self-DQ request is in :-( Dang; I need to learn to read!! :::smacks self in head:::

But I'm playing against yanko in the MS challenge. Why don't I feel good? Is it just the fear of a beginner?

Is it just me or did heaps of people miss the desciption in this challenge.

Use a non-stationary light source (for example, a moving flashlight in your hand) as the primary method of illuminating your subject in a creative manner

Just a thought.

It's just you... :)

I see a lot that look fine to me. I hope after the challenge you will explain this so I can understand this better.

From my perspective, I don't think that showing a moving trail of light is the only way to illuminate your object.

Yep, my entry was painted with light, but clearly, most of the voters do not see it that way.

Anyhow... sub 5.00 is always good for some self examination... or maybe not:)

My explanation

non-stationary light source

It seems as though there are many photos with a stationary light source. Just my opinion

I would hope if people have a doubt they really look though I suspect that isn't the case given the 1 I just received. :(

4.6 and only 1 comment.

if this holds it will be my 2nd lowest score of all time. and my double take is around the same with also only 1 comment.

yikes.

Yup...I used a non-stationary light source and you can see that...and my score is still low 5's with NO comments.

So low voters...how about add some comments...help people learn...and maybe earn yourself a ribbon in the meantime.

I had decided i would and was going through doing them feeling like I made a lot of headway, look at my stats, you have commented on 28 images. Ah!! That's it?!?! But I was doing a good few sentences on each, a lot full paragraphs.

One more go probably would have fetched a slightly higher score. I was sick of messing with it, though. I started off strong, but have been sinking ever since!

Had a comment left that said they didn't think what I did was light painting. I guess you need swirling light trails to qualify for a good vote. :(
