I am trying to import some Raw images in from a folder on my computer, and I keep geting a mesage that {no photos were found to import} I've searched the net and cant find why. It will import jpegs from the same folder.

Are you selecting all of your files?

Click Import > browse to folder > select single file > ctrl + a to select all then click open.

You can also just select a few as well to test, hope that helps.

Ok I've already moved them to another folder and that did not help. I selected 30 photos and recieved a message that they would not import because they are already located in the library. But I cant find them it's like 3000 images. my library only shows 300 photos and they are all jpegs. By the way thanks for the help. Any other ideas are welcome.

Are there jpgs with the same name already in the library? If so, then that's the reason. Lightroom will only allow 1 copy of a file of any given name, regardless of the extension (.jpg, .nef/.cr2) That means that you can't have both a jpg and raw copy of the same file in the db. If you only want the raws, delete the jpgs and re-import just the raw files, or you can try renaming the raw files and then trying to re-import.

Does Lightroom gave a limited number of files you can import at one time?

Uninstalled and reinstalled and it seems to be working fine now. I had to delete the library from the hardrive manually because the uninstall would not do it.

Glad to hear all is working now. I guess for future reference, and I don't intend to state the obvious but did you have the folders view collapsed in the library view?
