If the little guy is still alive call around and see if there is a wildlife rehab center. Your local animal control should know of some places otherwise feed him/her some mealworms. (any local bait shop) & or go to your local bird feed store (farm & fleet) or place where they sell feed should have duck duck starter & duck grower would be the best to combine both of them.

im glad this thread is kinda fresh. i found a baby mallard today in my basement window well as i was painting my kitchen window trim, i thought it was a mouse at first then it made little chirping noises. i have no clue how long it was there but i took it put it in a cardboard box with a towel. i dont know wut to do with it, i fed it a bunch of dead flies i caught cuz i figured it was hungry and just need to know wut to do with it. im from calgary ab canada. there's a pet store by my house that im going to check out in the morning to see wut can be done but want to see wut advice i can get here, btw i found this site by googling baby mallard so ya. also i dont plan to keep this as a pet |

Good morning John. You might try communicating with Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society ... they would likely put you on the right track.
