'Why' sounds quite fun, but I can't resist the Painting with Light one :)
I've done 2 quite serious shoots for it this week, I think I'm finally happy with the results. Still unedited at the moment, but they look pretty good. |

I plan to. I have one shot, hoping to reshoot. |
I have an idea, which I might be able to shoot tonight or tomorrow. I have a fantastic picture for Candid, except for the fact it was taken in January.. |
I have a fantastic picture for candid but it was taken yesterday. |

I'm waiting to hear back. There is a very slight glimmer of hope, though I don't dare hope too much, that they have another volunteer. I'm keeping all sorts of things crossed and will let you all know as soon as I find out. I'd still take a nice summer/fall/winter vacation to parts where it's a bit less vegetated, but possibly for less overall time and working for the unit I work for now, which would be far more beneficial to them and a bit less stressful on me. It's been an up and down week, that's for sure.
On the up side, by the way, I've got some phenomenal comments on my Free Study. |

Careful with the eyes - my mom always told me that if you crossed your eyes for too long they'd stay that way. :-) (And very much appreciated.) |

And I speak from experience when I say that the surgery to correct crossed-eyes is not fun (or at least wasn't when I was 18 months old !)

My double take entry fell by one complete point since I woke up this morning, and steadfastly refuses to move one iota upward (if it's moved, it's gone downward). It's just that I like it so much! My religion entry was almost so close to nearly being just like but not quite a 6 at one point, but now is falling, too, just not quite as drastically as my double take entry. Like you've said, Jayson, good times. I wouldn't know how to act if an entry's score went upwards.
I may be in the "why" challenge (fighting hard to avoid all the silly things here, like saying "why not" enter the "why" challenge); painting with light interests me not even in the tiniest little bit :) so as I'm in DPL, I probably oughtta enter something in why.
Oh; what's up with the team suck teams? Is there a thread on that somewhere I should read? I don't get it (not that that's the test for anything, I don't get most stuff).
Best,
Rob |

Hot Cross Buns! I'm sorry - that really doesn't relate, does it?
Ah, well - good luck, Deb. :) |

Rob, there are no separate team threads - the teams are a sort of loosely based kinda thing. The other Team Suck threads include the results thread that meyers manages, and the Team Suck Oobie and Yappie nomination thread. |

If you go to the very first post in this thread, you can read a little about the philosophy of team suck. And if you really need some bedtime reading, also in the post, are links to the whole history of team suck. |

Thanks, Mary and Deb. I did read the first post (and a bunch that follow), but thought there was more to the teams than just a loose and not so serious competition sort of thing. I've seen the results thread, and looked at (wouldn't say "read") some of the others linked there (some before I asked to join, even, to see whether I would fit in). Teams still made me wonder, though. Just hate to feel like I'm missing out on something (though often I am missing out on something!), and I thought there was something I outta be doing, when it was really just to keep on keeping on!
Deb, thumb pressed for you that things turn out as best they can!
Best,
Rob |
