Large Format Survalience camera..... and where do they use this?
For the record they could build a 100mp Full Frame sensor, but it would be pointless. Not to mention the procesing power required and file space but just the fact the optics cant resolve.
Id like to see this security camera though!

canon 300D 6 Megapixel--> 18 Megabyte the tiff ---> 50 megapixel = 150 Megabyte??????

I'd like to know what the frame rate of that security camera is. 30FPS at 50mp? That just sounds silly. |

Heh Well they do have a major successor to HD and its already named sucssor.
I forgot what its called but 1 Channel required 64 fiber optic lines and they demo'd it at a stadium with multiple panel monitors.
The technology is around for some of this stuff but as for something like that the bandwidth to distribute is not.
