Hello,

Without posting the whole pic, can you tell me what you think of this sky? Color, cast, noise etc....

clear sky...no clouds....

Does the right side have a purplish tint?

More edits: Time was 9:09am

Thanks for your help.

To me, it would depend on the time of day you're going for. It seems like just after sunset to me.

If this is midday, then it seems way too dark and blue. Should be a light robin's egg blue IMO.

OK, hard to judge when taken out of context. BUT, very dark for midday.

But my opinion is worthless since we dont know if this is a 100% crop (for judging noise), or a resized portion. We need something in the foreground to tell if there are any colour cast issues. The image you posted isnt reall much help at deciding anything.. I'm not being shitty, just honest.

If that's the case, I'd say too dark for 9:09am.

To me it looks too dark and too "muddy" for 9 am, at least at this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere. Usually a clear morning sky will be a lighter and "purer" blue. I've made a sample adjustment here using an RGB Curve and a Blue/Yellow Channel Curve to what I think would look closer. Note that color is not my strong suit, but I have edited ton's of photos for print.

That's closer to what I need. I hate clear skies. I can never seem to get them right!

Here are screen shots to give you an idea of the kind of adjustments I made.
