Just looking through some old pics and found this one that I hadn't really noticed. It's amazing how you can sometimes miss good pics when A. You are under pressure editing and B. Other things in the set are so much more compelling.
It' s a good idea to sometimes look back on old work.
This was taken during the awful New Orleans Disaster. Looking at it now I really like how the pigeons are just getting on with life. Also that must have been a lot of energy to crush a Land Rover like that!
Thanks for looking
Jeff

I even found some humor there which amazes me due to the complete mess of the whole situation - By this point I had been living in the back of a 4x4 for 4 days and had only eaten some biscuits! It's a bit hard to see on such a small image but there are crushed cars in the background of this pic....

I was viewing your portfolio just a few minutes ago. I am so amazed at your body of work! I really enjoyed it immensely. You probably have many gems on your hard drive that I hope you will share with the world.

You are probably one of the best photographers anywhere! Your work is astonishing.

What I don't get is why you don't have a long row of ribbons here at DPC!
:)

I agree, love your work.

As for the ribbons, I'm thinking ladybugs or purple sunsets would really add some 'wow' to these shots *snicker*.

I looked thru your New Orleans hurricane aftermath images when you first posted them, and you truly captured the history of the days there with your camera, and your excellently composed images of the people and the place. It was a time that needed to be recorded, and the record that you made is the most powerful one that I have seen to date. I appreciate that you took upon yourself to go there and shoot the pics at any cost, not thinking so much about your own safety or comfort at the time.

Thanks very much for the kind comments - I kind of live for jobs like these - Even though they are really bad I would never want to be anywhere else when something like this is going on.
