If I can ever get my engine rebuilt I'm going to remake this one with a nicer background, I could make a cg one easy enough or use another photo but I prefer to do it the right way the first time ;)

Well what can i say about the black beauty itself? You have to love a Lancer Evolution 8. From a motorist stand point the factory intercooler needs to be replaced with one that fills the lower fascia witht he pipes only showing through the side air inlets.

Congratulations on getting the entire car without any blur and a bit of motion blur on the background. Your 350z Picture's front end didnt fair so well.

hm i actually like the factory intercooler. makes it look like it has fangs.

My 1st attempt....done last year. I was actually on the wrong side of the track...hence the flat lighting on some of the racers....this I learned. Any one of these.....thanks :)

Looks wise i recommend one that fills the grill and then the pipes show through the two outers. It doesnt look too bad or anything. But if you have ever seen a tiny intercooler on a civic with an ugly buddy club bumper.

Im lookign aroudn and all the Evo 7/8 kits fill the bumper but the pipes dont show. I think you know what im talking about but im having trouble finding a picture. Found one on a DSM but couldnt link the pic.

Having trouble finging a decent picture. I know if i went through a stack of SCC mags id fint it too lol. Heresa a coupel that almost show what im talkign about. The supra bumpers stock and aftermarket leave little to show though.

This one (LINK) the intercooler isnt wide enough infact the evo looks beter lol. Higherpipes would show more.

For the most part neither show or represent what im talking bout the evo looks better. But ive seen some custom jobs where the intercooler plumbing sticks out of the side inlets/floglamp holes.

A neat trick would be to have the intecooler pipes mount high come out then turn straight down and curl back. Itll look like two chrome fangs in the side of the bumper.

Hey, I'll take some comments/crititism - these were taken last year at a local car show before I knew much about editing. I was going for the "artsy" look ;)

Thanks!!!!!

This is a self-portrait circa 1988-89, before I became an avid environmentalist. The irony is my current community garden plot is not far from where this was taken.

Rain, too bad the intercooler is mounted vertically. I used to own a 1986 Mustang SVO with a topped mounted intercooler. Drop a piece of dry ice on top of it was an instant 30-35 HP boost.

These days we use CO2 or if you can afford it Nitrous Oxide to cool the intercoolers. There are two ways. 1 the Sprayer, can use either but wastes it. Or in similar effect to a liquid to air intercooler you run your nitrous plumbing through a fitting on the intercooler. Also injecting into the airfilter helps increase air flow in 2 ways. On a turbo car it generally wont matter but on an NA car you want to make sure there is atleast 6 inchs between the injector and the throttle body for good mixture.

And whats the difference now? You would have picked the VW up and took it to the trash? Keep them coming ill be back tonight to finish and comment on the new ones.

How about a 12sec Civic Del Sol Turbo, 328HP at the wheels?

(and after the runs, we discovered we never took out the 5 spare axles in trunk! LOL)
