Why So Many Views - DPChallenge Forums

I'm not complaining but I am curious why this challenge entry (which scored in the bottom third of the pack in a very small challenge ... 90 entries I think) has attracted so many views ... over 1,200 at last count. Can anyone shed any light?

Nude gallery?

it is in the nude category. anything in there gets 5 times the views as a normal shot. blame the perves.

Also sometimes a photo will get picked up by Digg and that will generate a lot of views.

just a website where people link to stuff they digg (like). if your shot gets linked then it gets more views. you can search google with your name and see what comes up.

Yep, my only photo in Nude has over 1700 views, my next photo (as far as views is concerned) only has 350.

I think you guys are just being cynical. People aren't only roaming the 'net looking for nudie photos.

I think this photo has been viewed so many times because there are so many cultured photographers and travelers using the internet these days, and let's face it, Florence is a beautiful city...

It just got a view from me, but only because I have to have nude thumbnails hidden as I use the internet at school as well.

I just wonder how you got those people in such an extraordinary pose in a public square. ;-Ã� (That should be good for another few views.)

seriously? choose 10 random photos from the nude category and see if they have a normal number of views. the nude category gets 10 times more views.

Thanks all for shedding the light. It's up to 1,313 today. Maybe I'll have to tag nude cars, and nude airplanes, and nude motorcycles ... heck, nude green peppers. Probably nobody will Digg those.

You are not alone.

this shot is on nearly 1200 views yet only got 25% in the challenge.

It has always puzzled me as well.
