That's very good, although faster 4GB Ritek and Transcend cards are available for under $50 without rebate hassles.

It is a good deal. But you can get a Transcend card everyday for about that price:
$35.99
$43.19

I think I'd rather have the Sandisk. The reviews from people who sound like they have actually used other cards besides these all say it's much slower than even 80x lexar or Sandisk cards.

I only use Transcend an they are plenty fast enough. If you want to pay for name brand then that is you. I don't see any need in my line of work where I would care if I can get 500 shots a second.

I think I might pick one up just to give it a shot. At these prices, you really can't go wrong. |

I thank you for the tip! I just went and bought one! I've had an Ultra II 4GB from SanDisk for about 6 months now and absolutely love it! |

I included a link to tested benchmarks in my first post. 120X Transcend and 150x Ritek cards are faster than Sandisk Extreme III. |

This link is really helpful Shannon. After seeing that data, I was thinking and I have another question then :)
Speed means performance, when a vendor claims that its product read/write up to 20MB/s and another vendor claims the same except that it talks terms of nnnX (like 150X speed) but end result of both the product are same (20MB/S) then how come one product is faster then other?
Also in what condition I will have speed of 20MB/S (as per your example, it is around 5-6MB/S)? |

Those quoted speeds are for max burst read/write. The ones you see on the test page are sustained read/write speeds. The card is capable of producing 20mbps speeds but only for a short period of time. Similar to the way amplifiers have both a max rating and an RMS rating. The RMS rating is the one that really matters because that is a sustained power output, not just a short burst.
