Not sure if I can blame voting time of day... :(

My selective desat is at 4.9, and I just entered a shot in 4 elements. I am expecting DNMC comments and a LOW score, but I think it fits in well with the spirit of suck!

I went home for the weekend, and ended up reshooting Elements. I'm really happy with the shots this time - we'll see how it goes...

Oh, and I finally joined a DPL team, yay :)

Update on the geese. There are still indeed nine of them - I must have missed one when I was there last week. Unfortunately, one of them has deformed wings. Anyway, I know everyone has been sitting on pins and needles just waiting for the latest news! (OK, so maybe not...)

That was then:

Thanks for sharing these, Deb. Wouldn't exactly say I was on pins and needles, but it's nice to have an update. :D

Your garden looks quite inviting, thanks for sharing these!

Melethia they must be very diligent geese parents to have kept them all, it's nice to see them dong well. We visited our Moor Hen babies at the creek today they're all growing up nicely too, it's funny how you get attached to them.

Can I get some help please, pretty please? I'm working on my folio for assesment and I'm putting some abstacts in but I'm stuck.

These I like but if they suck please say so

And I'm hoping to reshoot this one to try and get something vaguely close to in focus

But these I'm not so sure I only want one if any, what do you think? Do they suck as much as I think or is one OK?

Bobbie, that first abstract in the second row is a definite keeper. That one is really quite nice!

My picks:

Will you be noting how you got some of these abstracts? They're all pretty intriguing. :)

Heading to the in-laws for the day, hoping that something for Elements will come up.

Soccer game tonight, leaving me with only slight hope of submitting anything anyhow.

My picks:

I love the smooth fluid movement of this one! And the colors are great.

I actually like this without something in focus. It really lends to the abstract feel of it.

I love the steely color that brings strength to the softness of the fluidity of this shot.

I love the structure that this brings. I like this coloring better than the last shot.

They are all very unique and will be great for your portfolio!

My picks:

this is my least favorite only because it's not as original as the others.
don't you dare reshoot this.

Yeah, I saw them on SNL a week or so back, they sounded pretty good. Thanks for the tip!

Quid pro quo - I've taken a tip and passing on a new one. Currently watching the movie Children of Men on DVD and liking it a lot. Very creative and smart, so far - pushes your buttons. :)

We just got back from the movie "The Waitress". Loved it. "If only life were as easy as pie" pretty much sums it up. I always found pie making difficult.
