Check this out... pretty cool stuff under portfolio. To me, I think it's sad that we are perpetuating society's view of "beauty" by skewing reality in this manner, but I have to admit the editing ain't half bad.

fantastic! thank you:)
but why is the light on the original photos so bad? well, not bad, but not perfect either. to show the difference?
oh wow, I thought they really use perfect lighting to create such photos:) and I was still sure they have nice well-trained bodies:) silly me!

Hah! in one of those they actually made an insanely skinny girl more "hippy". Most of this stuff is pretty mild.

I think this is more like: not every actor has the patience or the ability to keep themselves looking perfect all the time, and then their publicist says "Oh, you have a photoshooot tomorrow!"

My first thought exactly! The lighting and especially exposure on some is bordering on awful.
My other thought was, "they've turned into plastic caracatures of themselves!" The processing on the skin is way overdone, IMO. This seems to be all the rage currently. I find it very unattractive.

[stalker] Did anyone notice how little editing was done to Halle Berry's photo compared to the rest.... She's just sooo beautiful, she doesn't need much "tweaking" to be "perfect". [/stalker]

That's easy... they just say "Awww, close enough, I'll "fix" it in post"... just more ongoing American laziness.

Okay, I just looked at the one of Eva Langoria (or whatever you spell that like), and WOW she is not that hot in reality.

i still can't believe those are real originals. look at the phoot of i don't know what her name is, b&w, with totally black right eye, which they lightened. i can't believe a photog can be that lazy not to use at least some white paper on that side:)

yes, i agree about Halle Berry:) and wow, they all have so many wrinkles!

I think that they look good but I'm sorry like someone said why didn't they use the perfect lighting on the first go roucn. I've seen pros taking pictures before and UMMM they use some serious lighting. I think they made the bad picture look worse and the good pictures look better. Also if you notice it says "iWANTEX STUDIO does NOT claim ownership to any of the pictures displayed here." What does that say to you???

It does however give you a very good idea of how you should try to clean up any portraits you take though. I know I will process mine much more now.

exactly!:) and I will process mine much less now, though I don't usually retouch the skin that much.

This may be more explained by a tight schedule and limited modifiers than any laziness involved, you might give the photogs just a little credit here. For all we know, half of them with really bad light were probably told "You've got five minutes, make it good"

Hey now, that really isn't called for. I'm getting really sick of people saying this. It's insulting clumping all of us in for the fault of others.

It says the photos are copyrighted to the photog but the retouching is copyrighted to iWANEX
