My order in the Playoffs is Sharks - Western Canadian Teams - Eastern Canadian Teams - Whoever hasn't won a cup before.

Just root for the Wings and be right for once! :-)

Figures.. I watch the game until Buffalo is up 3-0 and completely controlling the game.. so I step away for a little while, check Yahoo, and it's 3-2 at the end of the second. LOL.

Oh Ottawa, you're a team of destiny so far.

Ottawas great and it would be nice for them to win the stanley I even have some money on them but they usally choke when the real presures on...

It's amazing to me that people still want to pull out the "choke" label because the Sens lost *one* game.. (and almost came back and tied it for crying out loud). When it's game 7 and they're being badly outplayed, then come back and mention anything about choking.

ai yi yi. I swear, the Sens would have to go 16 and 0 before anyone of their fans even considered thinking of them as a great team.

Apparently the fans at the game last night were actually booing at times. No, there's not much loyalty there.

well when I wrot that it was before I even got a look at the game and I was saying that on there playing history not that current game...

Didn't look much like a choke to me. lol.

It's so damn fitting that Alfredsson gets the series-winning goal here.

indeed, congrats to Sens - it was a hard fought game - a nail biter for this Sabres fan.

YAHHHH BAAABY! That last goal by Alfie looked as innocuous as that first goal by Buffalo last game - nobody was expecting it!

So here's my order, Pixlmaker: 1 roast beef sandwich with hot mustard and pickles, coleslaw on the side, and oh yeah, make that a rootbeer float to go with it :-)

GO SENS GO!!!

Sorry Snaffs, I'm thinking Ducks in 5 in some very close games.
05/28/2007 03:28:38 PM · #312
im saying sens in 7.

I am really hoping you're right about the 7 games Ian. Being a hockey fan in Chicago, I'm starved for great hockey. I just think the Ducks are a bit stronger on defence and overall 5 on 5. With the Sens being stronger on the PP and pretty equal in the other facets, if the Ducks can stay out of the box they should take the cup. I'm hoping for some close games and a couple in OT. Sport doesn't get any better!

Sens in 5 (or 6 if Giguere steals one) :)

I dunno, Looked fine to me until the 3rd period when Ottawa's 9 days off lack of conditioning kicked in. That's the Duck's one.

Can't disagree with you there - as bf pointed out Sens played defensively and not offensively in 3rd. And they were tired. Mind I was less than thrilled with Spezza giving up puck 4x in 2nd, but then i did just dye my hair (well some of it, didn't buy enough guck) as close to Sens red as possible...

I think Murray will come down on the Sens like a sack of hammers and drill the bejesus out of them today (Tues) so they're in better shape for Wed.

I've heard pundits say Sens in Six, I think it may go to 7. I won't be upset if they don't make it this year but they have all the talent and skill necessary, they just have to use it effectively.

GO SENS GO!!!!

OK gonna go bury head in the sand now - the Sens sucked so bd during gme 2 that I went to bed after seeing that painful period. Only Rayzor did his job. *sigh*

It seems pretty ironic that the Ducks are doing to the Sens EXACTLY what the Sens did to the Sabres. Playing only PART of the game, getting outplayed physically, and having a goalie as the only player to really step up. Sounds eerily familiar to this Sabres fan. Ducks in 5. And as much as it pains me to say it, Emery played like his life depended on it last night. Kudos to him...

For the first time in these playoffs the Sens are playing a team not in total disarray. I may be exaggerating but Pittsburgh wasn't ready to do anything in the playoffs yet, New Jersey fired their freak'n coach right before the playoffs started and Buffalo was lost the minute they said go. Anaheim on the other hand like the Sens were ready going into this matchup.

I do think the Sens will come out and play really well today and make this a little more of a series but there's no way they are beating the Ducks unless Pronger, Niedermeyer and or Giguiere get hurt. The Sens don't have anything that comes close to matching that rock of a foundation and they don't have the overwhelming offense to compensate. That said I am pulling for the Sens since I hate the Ducks. :P
