Earth! Wind! Water! Fire! Heart!
By your powers combined, I am Captain Planet. Goooooo Planet!

Singing- Captain Planet, he's our hero
gonna take pollution down to zero
gonna help us, put a sunder
bad guys who like to
pollute and plunder!

Forgive me, I couldn't resist. I loved that show.

Mmmm, me likey. A challenge that plays to my strengths instead of one that requires text in the photo (me no likey)...

I misunderstood too. I thought you had to do all four. That's what I get for glancing over it.

Well whoever gets all four elements into one capture in a technically sound photo should get extra points.

klynn, that cracked me up. :-)

Yeah, at first glance I thought this was a four season, four-panel challenge (thanks, Fotoman Forever). ;-)

If you live in Los Angeles, it's not difficult. Never trust air you can't see!

OH man I miss that show! I could never decide between wind or water.... and I hated captain planet. What a lazy super hero! "Hey guys, call me when you are on the brink of death and I might show up!"

Anybody notice that compared to one day before submission deadline for selective desaturation the number of submissions is much lower for four elements. Wonder why? Because it's a hard subject or burnout from DPL's first week.

Probably a little of both. I just hope this doesn't mean extra-inflated numbers for the religion and science open challenges.

Unfortunately I'm sure many also will glance over it. I'll be really shocked if the 3 ribbons don't all go to the typical lakeside landscape shot since by default they'll have at least 3 of the 4 elements included and it's not difficult at all to bring along a lighter to include the 4th element. I'm curious though why do you think including all four justifies extra points? The challenge isn't to include all four and unless you are talking about something really creative it's pretty easy to include all four elements if you chose to do that.

Yes, I'd agree - but not this week. I had been going to take a sunrise over a local lake, but the sun decided to go in to hiding, and hasn't been seen for at least 3 days...

I entered a last-hour entry. I burned the hell out of my fingertips about 2 hours ago and have been editing with my left hand while my right clutches an ice pack. Hey, there's another element - too bad it can't be seen. :-}
