Virtual tour

I think they pay about 35-70$ per house

Just a question, but I was looking at a job like this before - how do they know if you're using pirated Photoshop? I saw one say "if you are using illegal software, your contract will be terminated."

I doubt the software police will come to check your print shop!

I have worked as a photographer doing virtual tours for a well known national company - they pay the photographers $19.00 for a 4 room shoot, $4.00 for each additional room that the client wants extra. Most clients buy a "package" that is a simple 4 room shoot and rarely ask for extra rooms. Each shoot takes approximately 30 minutes, not including travel time. I often had to travel an hour to the shoot, then back. So total for that shoot would have been $19.00, plus $.31 a mile. IF you live a VERY densely populated area, you can make a living at this, but where I live (very rural), it is impossible to make a living at it.

By additional "studio work", I am assuming that you are talking about photo editing. We had to do all of the above for the company that I worked for, and we got paid alright...we got 19 bucks plus mileage. Perhaps things have changed in that industry in the last year, (it certainly NEEDED to change), but I would be shocked if the rate you quoted in your first post was what they actually pay the photographers.

And I stand by what I said about living in a densely populated area - you just can't make a living if you have to travel HOURS to do every shoot.

Are they looking for photographers throughout the country( I'll e-mail them to find out)?
I once applied to something like this, but didn't get a reply:(

In the DC metro area they are ALWAYS looking for photographers, but the company that I worked for was always looking for photographers all over the country. Sometimes they would send local photogs on road trips to cover areas where they had no photogs.
