I made a poster (for myself) recently and now the fire fighters who put out the forest fire in our town have seen it and want the same image on a t-shirt for themselves. Does anybody know of a company where you can upload an image and get t-shirts printed at a reasonable price? I'd like to use them to make some money for the local volunteer fire dept. Any help gratefully appreciated!

I know a little place called...DPCPrints! Of course, you'd have to have them done, because it's one of those things you can only do with your own prints, but just tell them how much, get them done, and deliver them (with a plate of soft chocolate chip cookies - from the heart) to the firefighters.
Good luck!

Geeze, I feel like a dummy. I'd never scrolled down that list of gift items. DPCPrints is less expensive than the other company. With shipping added into the equation, though, I suspect it would not make a very good fund raiser as the shirts would be pretty pricey after adding on whatever was going into the pot. I guess I'll look around locally, at least I could take the shipping cost out...

you might have better luck at a local printer rather than online because the shipping cost is going drive up your cost. |

This is also a case where you might want to consider inkjet iron-on transfer material. If you take them to a framing shop or cleaners where you can use a heat-press you'll get an even better result than with your regular iron.
You might want to consider having the image color-separated and silk-screened instead; it's only worthwhile if you're going to make 3 dozen shirts or so, but I bet they could sell them as a fund-raiser .... |

While shipping costs for one T-shirt seem to be high, they don't increase much with increased orders (I just selected 20 t-shirts and the shipping cost went up from $10.95 for one to $24.95 for 20). Just something to keep in mind, too :)

Thanks, guys and gals. I called the place that did some screen printing for me a couple of years ago and they said they'd do sublimination printing for 10.95/ea with an order of 36. No worries about shipping, just pick 'em up when they're done. I really like the sublimation printing better than the heat transfers, more comfy to wear, too when the design is large. I appreciate all the helpful hints!

You might try Webshots too. Or be adventurous and do them yourself. I put pics on t-shirts for my grandkids and they turn out pretty nice. |
