There is a clear pipe in the middle of the water going into the faucet and then the water comes back down.

Sorry to ruin it but i have a magic beer tap that you put against the wall does the same thing.

Clear tube. Seen them at stores (smaller version ones).

I would assume there is a support going up the middle of the water stream. It probably also supplies the water.
