Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The
best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11
million illegal immigrants!
That would be 11 million less people using our gas.
The price of gas would come down. Bring our troops
home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an
illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a
canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq.
Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must
serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay
while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he
will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended
this country. He will also be registered to be taxed
and be a legal patriot. This option will probably
deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for
the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a
better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve,
ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle
or ammo. Problem solved.

There's a lot of junk floating around that's incorrectly attributed to George Carlin.

Got anything besides your inbox that says he actually wrote this?

I saw this on one of his specials...

Don't remember which one off the top of my head, but it was fairly recent.

I heartily agree.... well on most of it. I just simply disagree with almost all of this so-called "immigration bill" that is in the news now. I have nothing against immigrants, legal or illegal, as people themselves. But what I do disagree on is the monetary problems it causes... one fact is the loss of jobs for Americans.
I will go along with some that maybe by making it easier for immigrants to become citizens, or workers in American, that it would ease some of the burdens...and ok, I can see this point. But then lets make them ALL register to become one or the other. No more employing illegals. Just because they snuck across the border doesn't give them a right to become a citizen. That would be like giving someone a reward for breaking the law. Oh... wait... we did do that for Paris H. didn't we?

Ok...I quit

It is one of those issues that is so complex. It is funny to hear a take like this, but it isn't what I wish on people. Funny, a little mean, but not realistic.

The message, even though funny, does have some good advice.

I am a an ex defender of this nation.

I totally agree with the premise, IT SHOULD BE AN AUTOMATIC INDUCTION INTO THE ARMED FORCE OF CHOICE FOR ALL MILITARY AGE MEN AND WOMEN IMMIGRANTS TO SERVE IN THE MILITARY FOR AT LEAST ONE 4 YEAR TOUR.

Why should they not? The want equal rights. They want the American dream. They want to use our system. They want, they want...well what are they willing to do to get what they want?

Serving the country via the military is a small price to pay to proove that they really want to be here.

So says me.

I love this little piece. Make me want to go live on my mayors lawn. he is the mayor from Greeley, CO that went to Washington to complain about the "Raids."
"A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.
Her point:

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let's say I break into your house
Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest
(except for when I broke into your house)

According to the protesters:
You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to add me to your family's insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family
(my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house
And what a deal it is for me!!!
I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.
Oh yeah, I DEMAND that you to learn MY LANGUAGE!!! so you can communicate with me."

Or maybe I read it somewhere and it just merged in with the multitude of Carlin Specials I've been watching lately. I think I've seen about 10 in the past week.
