I like the way DPC is trying to have a wide variety of topics... it's helped me try and look at things I may not have, ordinarily.
I do think, however, that a planned rotation or cycle of a dozen or so topics, would also be helpful. Esp. for ones who have not been placing well or like the opportunity to revisit a subject.
Seems to me this would be a swell learning tool.. And an opportunity for people to build a portfolio or series based on a particular area.
Thoughts?

If topics were repeated, maybe they could have a slight variation, to make it more interesting (rather than copy the winners from last time)! |

I did very much enjoy the self portraits! I would love a flora and fauna challenge again, perhaps in the winter this time so our folks south of the equator have something to shoot, too.

Well,, if they copied it wouldn't be a very good test ones ability would it??? seems rather self defeating. But I suppose there are those that would.
I should think the voting would tell.. With people remembering past winners and going..hmm, not too original, hey?
And good point about different global locals..

I think someone previously suggested a personal Before/After challenge: reshoot your favorite previous entry; we could post the ImageID# as the title so folks can quickly compare (or make it a link if that can be coded).
Scoring should consider (perceived) degree of "improvement" as well as overall quality.
Of course, that would be a non-anonymous challenge .... |

A few people over here thought it was a good idea too.
Thanks for bringing this back up, I would like to see it happen.
