Well, I finished my first wedding shoot. Anyone interested in seeing them? They can be viewed at: //photos.yahoo.com/swashbuckler_us
(If you see some odd coloration...wild mix of lighting; florescent, natural and those tiny chandelier type flame lights; oh, yes, plus I tried to flash most everything in an effort to overpower the poor lighting conditions.) |

All right, first you title the thread such that I'm about to offer you congrats and make some snide "about time" comment. Then I see Robin Williams' name (before any thumbnails load) and I get more interested because my mom knows that OTHER Robin Williams ....
As you describe conditions, I think the lighting and clarity are excellent. I'm lousy at color balancing, so I concentrate more on tone than color. Consider converting to B+W or Duotone.
I don't think that high view is great artistically, but it afforded you nice clear shots of the action. Try taking bits and pieces (tight crops) from the different cake photos and making a montage--it will make people less conscious of any "flaws" in the longer shots.
Oh yeah, which one is Robin?

Robin is the Bride.
Duotoning - yes!! I gave the bride the entire CD of photo data. She tried some in duotone and they were wonderful!!! Then she took the whole CD to Costco and had them print everything on their satin finish photo process - I couldn't believe they were the same photos. Costco does an excellent job!!! I tried some of my nature shots printed at 12x18...it was much better than I could print on my inkjet. And the price??? $2.99 for each 12x18, incredible!!! |
