...and it just happened to come with the Minolta AF 50mm f/1.7 lens I was looking for. :D
It seemed like this lens (when sold separately) kept selling fast on eBay anytime I saw one I was interested in, plus the prices were ok, but not cheap enough for my limited lens budget.
I noticed some film bodies being sold with included lens. Took a gander and voila, lens + Minolta 7000 film SLR = $71.
Might actually pick up a roll or two of film and play around a little. :P |

It's fun, if I had room in the house or I had a basement, I'd get an enlarger and develpment setup, I kind of miss that. I've been thinking about getting an old medium format and playing around with that, but I'd need a good film scanner for that. |

Well, I'm very happy with the lens acquisition. That's what I really was looking for. The SLR is a nice bonus.
I have an old Pentax SLR with a couple of cheaper lens that I haven't done anything with in a few years now. With the Minolta 7000 I've just upgraded (on the film SLR side) and the lens that I own for my KM 5D are all full-frame and will work on the film 7000 body. :)
Never did anything in regards to film development before. Was always interested but never took the plunge. |

I've been thinking the same thing. An old twin-lens reflex would be a lot of fun to shoot with. Maybe when one more kid is off to college and a room frees up.

Good move to get the lens by buying the camera with it.
I like the old manual glass, and seem to buy more every month. I am a machine sort of guy, and the old lenses just have that smooth solid "last forever" feel about them.
My camera does not meter with them, so I have to use intuition, then see the results and adjust .

Thanks. Hey, I see you have a bunch of Nikon lens, yet no Nikon camera listed. What are you mounting those on? |
