I was wondering, when a photo contest says the winners will be announced on such a date, have they usually already contacted the winner before this date or is this the first time that everyone finds out?
I am in a contest that anounces the winners on the 29th of this month, and though I am not holding my breath that I won or was a runner up, I would liket o know if I at least made finalist or something like that.
So if any of you have the experience please fill me in.

I have won many online and offline contests...and had both results...where sometimes they would notify me of the full results...sometimes just to make sure I would be present...but no further details...and other times absolutely no knowledge at all.

not much help I'm sure, but the only one I was in they contacted me a bit before it was done to say I was one of 3 finalist and they needed me to fill out copywrite info to ensure it was my image.
Good luck on the contest. |

Thanks sab for the info. Congrats on the finalist BTW... All I am hopeing for is top 100 for a bit of recognition. But you never know.....
