One of the most popular HW-related digital photography portals is sold out to a retailer. It will bring money to the business for sure, but I can only hope it does not mean side-effects like interest games from manufacturers.

| Lets hope it gives them more access to equipment and camera's for better reviews. Not to mention direct link pricing! |

the integrity of the reviews might be compromised (if it was already compromised in the past, this will make it worst) in accordance to what amazon and partners wants to sell? that would suck.

I ordered a lens through Amazon today, and had my choice of buying it through Ace Digital Club or 17th Street Photo, both at the same price. (I went with 17th Street Photo, since resellerratings.com had no entry for Ace Digital Club, despite the 93% positive feedback rating on Amazon.) Most of Amazon's equipment is not actually Amazon merchandise, but is sold via Amazon on behalf of merchants who use it for the additional exposure and name recognition. Very little of it is in Amazon's warehouses.
