Is there a way to post or create a table in a forum thread?

Don't think so, you might just make one, take a screen shot, and then post it as a .jpg file. |

Yep, posting a jpeg is the best way. Tables are a PITA because:
1.) There is no "tab" function
2.) Manually putting in spaces doesn't work (easily) since the forums use a proportional font |

I believe the forums support pre and /pre tags.

yes it does !
it sure does !
let's build tables !
(so you can manually make a table by using spaces in the PRE tags. just make sure each "cell" in your row has the same number of characters in it.)

Um, yes. I understand that much. So what would the "pre tag" be for a table?
and I looked at candlerain's link, but that's not in English either.

The "pre" tag would indicate the start of a preformatted block of text, the "/pre" tag would end it. Type between the tags should show on screen the way you type it, with no adjustment to the spacing. |

oh. (in about 6 point type)
Thanks, RainMotorsports for the information.
For some reason I thought "pre" stood for prefix and
not for specific code.
...and thanks GeneralE for the additional
information. NOW I know what it does.
