I've been fooling around with a pentax 360fgz flash. And all my testing seems to indicate that p-ttl (which the pentax k100d uses) underexposes a lot.
I may have to suck it up and compensate for it. Do i turn up the exposure value or turn up the power on the flash?

Depends on whether you're saying the underexposure is the subject or the subject and background.

its the subject and the background. But i've been fooling around a workaround i just saw in another forum where it is suggested i set "link AE to AFpoint".
It seems to be working much better. I also use matrix not CW or spot. But I think if it exposes correctly even once then i must prob. be doing something wrong. I just need to find the right combination.
