They'll never accept your testimony, seeing as you are one to completely disregard
the law and put school children at risk, driving in school zones with reckless abandon.
haha - ever get out of that one? Still owe me a kiss ya' know... |

Because of your photo, idnic, you are most certainly an expert witness. I think expert witnesses get some compensation for their testimony. Are you a hostile or a friendly witness to the alleged perpetrator of the "crime"?
(In other words, if your attitude shifts slightly, the other side may be willing to compensate you for your expertise.) And, I say this without bias and prejudice, as I know nothing of the circumstances. Maybe you need to contact legal representation! |

Ouch. That really hurts. I've spent 17 years in the submarine service, and I take offense to this one.
As an aside, I really hope that he gets the help he needs as well, though I think that if the military health care system were better than the joke it currently is that this could have been averted in the first place.
I'm really happy to hear that you, your X, his friend, and all of the kids in the area are safe.
edit: Just read your profile, Sab, and I'm sorry. For the record, though. . . us submariners are only a little more demented than the rest of y'all! :) (Three more years! Race ya!)

Hahahahahaaa I got a check for $5 with the subpeona! :D
They served me at 5:00 on Friday - what great timing. And appearance is 10:30 Monday, so maybe I can speak with an attorney at 9:00 on Monday... but sheesh... Its HIS attorney who served me. It says I have to give a deposition. I don't know jack about these things!
Brad.... I paid it. :/
Oh and edit to add - he has been confined to base since he made bail, so no, he hasn't been back to my neighborhood since this happened and the Navy assure me he is getting necessary treatment.

Cindi - it sounds as if you handled a terribly difficult situation with poise and courage. While this appearance in court may be time-consuming and tiresome, I expect you will handle it in the same way. You can help give this individual the care he needs and deserves and, very importantly, protect your family and neighborhood.
I hope you keep us posted on how things go. |

Wow... hope it goes well for you!
I thought it was bad dealing with "The Swearing Neighbors," as we affectionately call them. We have two idiots that live about 100 yards away who think their back deck is a stage. For the past 5 years, they've stood out there screaming and swearing at each other on a daily basis. Finally last year, after I've called the police on them 13 times, they charged them with disorderly conduct.
And that meant that I had to testify in court against them, along with my 8-year-old daughter. What fun!
Sounds like you've got it 10x worse with this dude. Yeesh.

Cindi!
I am so glad you and your family are alright! You could have been killed!
This just proves that you never know who is living nearby and what they
are capable of...
I am also sorry for this man that he got in such a state as this...
Maybe he can get some help and you and your girls can sleep more soundly at night.
Hope all turns out for the best....

It could have been worse, someone could have been suing you, which is significantly less fun than having to give a deposition. Not that being deposed is really fun either.
Hopefully, this man will get the help he obviously needs and everyone will be happier for it, including him. |

Cindi - you didn't happen to catch the guy's name did you? :P
Yeah, the Navy will scr-scr-scr-screw yyyyouuu up mentully. Luckily I deranged to get get out in only ten years but with no prescription firearms.
I like how the cops make sure the cuffs aren't too tight.
Glad you're all ok. Man, you get to have all the adventures! What's up with that? It's like I always say - ALL the crazy stuff happens in Florida. Everything else is just copycat craziness. |
